About Us
Be the Difference NIL, a registered Wisconsin 501(C)(3) is a collection of donors and alumni that supports student-athletes at Marquette University. This non-profit collective is dedicated to creating opportunities for athletes that positively contribute to campus and the community at large, while maintaining the commitment of Marquette University to make a difference in the world.
Being men and women for others is foundational to a Marquette University experience and differentiates the development of student-athletes. That is why Be the Difference NIL is working with non-profit organizations and supporting community-minded events to positively impact the community while enabling personal growth with the athletes that sign with us.
What is NIL?
As of July 2021, the National Colligate Athletic Association (NCAA) has given permission to student-athletes to earn compensation for their name, image or likeness, also known as "NIL".
How is Be the Difference NIL funded?
The Be the Difference NIL is made possible by our passionate, purposeful supporters. Your donations are invested in athletes who are making a meaningful impact on athletic programs, campus, and our community.
What sports are included in the Be the Difference NIL?
Initially, Be the Difference NIL is focused on Men's and Women's Basketball. As the NIL landscape evolves over time, Be the Difference NIL will evaluate opportunities to incorporate additional athletic programs.
Is Be the Difference NIL affiliated with Marquette University?
No, we share no affiliation with Marquette University.
Where do I sign up To Be the Difference NIL?
Supporters who are ready to give can click on the Donate Now button. There is no donation minimum or maximum.
